Shipping & Roasting
How fast do you ship?
Salty Sailor Roast and Ship gets your order out within 3 to 5 business days. Each order is roasted to order so it lands in your hands fresh.
How much is shipping?
Shipping is $5.00 for the first item, plus $1.50 for each additional item, capped at 6 items per order. Crew Members (subscribers) get half-price shipping on every order.
Where do you ship?
We currently ship anywhere in the United States.
Subscriptions
What is the Crew Membership?
Subscribe to your favorite coffee and become a member of the Crew. You will get half-price shipping on every order, save on every shipment, and never run out of coffee. Cancel anytime, no commitment. Learn more about the Crew.
How do I cancel, pause, or skip a shipment?
Log into your Salty Sailor account, go to Subscriptions, and you can pause, skip, swap, change your shipping address, or cancel any time before your next shipment processes.
Can I change which coffee I am getting?
Yes. Swap blends or sizes any time from your account, no questions asked.
Discounts
Do you offer a military or first responder discount?
Yes. We offer a 15% discount to active duty military, veterans, and first responders through our partnership with GovX. Verify your service through GovX to claim it.
Can I stack discounts?
One discount per order. The GovX military and first responder discount applies to single purchases. Crew Members already get half-price shipping plus subscription savings.
Charity & Giving Back
How much do you donate?
5% of every order supports military families through the Navy-Marine Corps Relief Society (NMCRS). Our SS John W Brown collection coffees and LiberTea blends donate 10% to Project Liberty Ship, which preserves the historic SS John W Brown, the last fully restored Liberty ship from WWII.
Do you support coffee farmers directly?
Yes. Each quarter we make micro-loans to coffee farmers through Kiva.org, funding sustainable and organic growing. Read about our Loans That Lift program.
Coffee & Quality
Is your coffee roasted to order?
Yes. Every bag is roasted right before it ships. That is why orders take 3 to 5 business days, no stale bags sitting in a warehouse.
How should I store my coffee?
Keep it in a cool, dry place in an airtight container. Avoid the fridge. Whole bean stays freshest longest, grind right before brewing if you can.
Can I get whole bean or ground?
Both. Choose your grind on the product page when you order.
Returns & Issues
What if my coffee arrives damaged or wrong?
Contact us within 7 days and we will make it right.
Do you accept returns on opened bags?
For quality reasons we cannot accept returns on opened coffee. If something is wrong with your order, reach out and we will fix it.
